About The London Eye
The London Eye – London’s Iconic Observation Wheel
Few landmarks define modern London as vividly as the London Eye. Rising 135 metres above the River Thames, this giant observation wheel offers breathtaking, 360-degree views across the city and has become one of the capital’s most visited attractions since its opening in 2000.
A ride on the London Eye lasts around 30 minutes, giving visitors plenty of time to spot some of the city’s most famous landmarks, from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament to St Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard, and even Windsor Castle on a clear day. The spacious glass capsules provide a smooth and comfortable experience, making it an ideal activity for families, school groups, corporate outings, and international visitors alike.
By day, the views are spectacular, but by night, the London Eye transforms into a glittering beacon, offering a completely different perspective of the city. With its location on the vibrant South Bank, surrounded by attractions like the Sea Life London Aquarium, the London Dungeon, and a wealth of restaurants and theatres, the Eye is the perfect centrepiece of a London sightseeing day.

About Wembley Stadium
Wembley Stadium, known today as Wembley Stadium connected by EE through sponsorship, is the home of English football and one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world. Located in Wembley, London, the stadium opened in 2007 on the same site as the original Wembley (1923–2003).
With a capacity of 90,000 seats, it is the largest stadium in the UK and the second largest in Europe. The venue is owned by the Football Association (FA), whose headquarters are based on site through its subsidiary Wembley National Stadium Ltd (WNSL).
Design & Structure
Designed by Foster + Partners and Populous, Wembley is instantly recognisable for its 134-metre high arch. This striking feature not only defines London’s skyline but also carries more than 75% of the stadium’s roof load. The structure includes two retractable roof sections that let in natural light to support pitch growth. Construction was led by Multiplex at a cost of nearly £800 million, making it one of the most ambitious stadium projects in the world.
Sporting Events
Wembley is the stage for the biggest moments in English football. It hosts:
- All England men’s national team home fixtures
- The FA Cup Final and semi-finals
- The FA Community Shield
- Promotion play-offs across multiple league tiers
- The Women’s FA Cup Final and key England women’s national team games
It has also been the venue for some of the most prestigious international competitions, including:
- The UEFA Champions League Finals (2011, 2013, 2024)
- UEFA Euro 2020 (including both semi-finals and the final)
- UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 Final
- Football finals during the London 2012 Olympic Games

Beyond Football
Wembley’s calendar extends far beyond the national game. It regularly hosts:
- Rugby League’s Challenge Cup and other finals
- NFL London Games
- Major music concerts featuring global artists
- Temporary home fixtures for clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspur (2017–2019)
